The Companion Animal industry in the Nordics has been growing steadily in recent years driven by an increasing number of pets in the region, a rising demand for preventative care and a growing focus on pet health and wellness. This presents significant opportunities for Our Company’s Animal Health, as our existing portfolio and product pipeline of veterinary products are well-suited to cater to those needs. With market and channel dynamics continuously evolving as well, we are now looking to fill a newly created role as Nordic Sales Manager based in either Denmark or Sweden.

The role and responsibilities
The Nordic Sales Manager will be overseeing and managing the sales operations in the Companion Animal Business Unit within the Nordic region. The role reports to the Nordic Business Unit Director and will have three Field Force Managers as direct reports. In addition, the sales team includes 10 field-based Customer Engagement Managers reporting to the Field Force Managers.

Some of the key responsibilities include:
The Nordic Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies for the region that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives. You will manage the sales team in the region, including setting targets together with the Field Force Managers and monitoring performance.
As the Nordic Sales Manager you are responsible for commercial planning including product and financial forecasting across the region, tracking sales performance, reporting on progress and results, and implementing course correcting actions if needed. You must keep up to date with market trends and competitor activities to ensure the company is competitive in the region.
You will be the Business Unit sponsor and champion of Field Force Effectiveness programs and ensure deployment together with the Field Force Managers. You will be working closely with our CRM Lead to define Customer Engagement metrics and KPI’s, track and continuously improve Customer Engagement performance.

You will be responsible for managing the Business Unit sales promotional budget and ensure we invest in activities that support our sales ambitions. Together with the Field Force Managers you will agree on value-creating customer activities and oversee the planning and deployment.You will be the Business Unit point of contact to Marketing and work closely with the team to co-create the commercial plans including customer activities, product launches, sales and marketing campaigns ensuring that Sales and Marketing activities are aligned to support sales goals.

Your profile:

We are looking for a candidate who can ideally tick below boxes:

  • A Master’s degree in business administration, economics, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience from Animal Health (feed company, wholesaler, distributor, etc.), Human Health or Consumer Goods industry is preferred
  • Minimum 5-6 years of proven experience as a Sales Manager covering the entire Nordic Region
  • Experience in sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Strong commercial mindset and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Structured and data driven
  • Ambitious and performance driven
  • Personal drive and sense of urgency
  • Danish or Swedish native and fluent in English (written and spoken)
